Hiring

Only two personas make sense to hire.

  • A hard-working candidate that brings a productive workforce.
  • Raising the bar candidate that brings knowledge or skills to solve our problems the best possible way.

Hard-working

Candidates can instantly absorb feedback and follow the best practice. They can quickly deliver a great solution. They have the potential to become soon self-managed and take full responsibility for their domain.

It should be a good productivity/salary ratio as they are paid accordingly to their skills and experience.

Raising the bar

The candidate should be self-managed, looking for opportunities to improve the code, infrastructure, or team workflow. They raise the bar for the whole team, bring up new best practices, shape up technical debt battle plan.

There is whole different math for salary on this level. Senior candidates with years of desired experience can bring more value than a team of juniors. There always should be a budget available for candidates like that. It pays off in the long term.
